Sorry I haven't posted in so long! It has been pretty crazy around here.

After finishing up my duties at Tata Naka on Wednesday, the rest of the week seemed to fly right past me! This past Friday Ashley, Natalie, and I went to the Pompidou Center. They were having an exhibit on Edward Munch (he is most famous for "The Scream"). These are some pictures of the view from the top of the building, art in the exhibit, the building itself, and THEN a delicious breakfast/lunch at a restaurant called "Breakfast In America". All I have to say is "Chili cheese fries" people....chili...cheese...fries. So these pictures are all backwards, but hope you love them anyways! Cheers!

This was a cape. Made out of rubber. With faces on it. So so so creepy. I snapped this shot as he was walking by the museum. It was just too weird not to capture!

The outside of the Pompidou center. All the red things on the outside of the building are escalators that take you up and down the levels. You can see the whole of Paris from the top (see pictures at bottom of post).

Silver chair. It looked like tin foil.

These chairs were held together with resin that had been melted down and hardened.

Filled with foam, these chairs look so comfortable. We have a huge red white and blue bag at home that look like these!

Perfect solution to those beautiful chairs that you just want to fix!

At first I thought this was just one piece, but it's a chair and desk. Sleak, no?

These pictures were all from the modern art exhibit.

This was a piece done by an interior designer and architect. It is wool fabric over foam. It is supposed to be a couch or seating area. If it were me, I would put this in my children's play room. It just made you want to jump on it!

Natalie had to have a picture by the wall. The color was fantastic! Especially with her red pants.

All you see here is embroidered. This picture and the two above it. The canvas was HUGE. I really can't portray how big it was here. So intricate and well detailed, it just blew my mind.

This piece was made up of tiny pieces of metal from cans and the tops of bottles.

This and the paintings above it were from the Edward Munch exhibit. He was the artist who did "The Scream". Reading, seeing, and learning about his life was fascinating.

Fashion Week has arrived and has been in full swing people!

We all have either been working in showrooms across the city or dressing models and hosting shows.

I helped dress for the Rick Owens show and the Manish Arora show (if you don't know them, look them up and get to know them. Fabulous I tell you)

Instead of getting to watch the Gareth Pugh (who has dressed Lady Gaga) show, I got to watch it with some other girls. If you don't know it, fashion shows kind of run on YL time (or roughly 10-30 min behind schedule0. Jordan, Jessinta, and I at the Gareth Pugh show all took bets on when it would start and Jessinta won!

Dr. Ellis asked us all if anyone would be interested in interning in the showroom of Tata Naka. This design label was started by twins from Georgia, Tamara and Natasha. Pleeeeease please please go look at their clothes for Spring/Summer 2012. They are so beautiful, and the girls are so nice. It has been a privilege to work in their showroom dressing the model and helping sort buyer's choices. My favorite part has been getting to see the clothes up close and personally. I love getting to know collections as a whole. Also, learning the intricate details of buying, the ins-and-outs, proper etiquette, all of these things have been very valuable.

On another note, I have a camera charger! Sweet Brittany is letting me borrow hers so I will be able to show you all pictures of some of the clothes, and hopefully Tata and Naka tomorrow!

This past weekend was so nice!

DISCLAIMER THIS POST IS REALLY LONG

BUT there are a lot of pictures. so read at your own risk!

Saturday afternoon Natalie, Ashley, Brittany, and I went to Giverny. We found a company who does tours inside and outside of France, and they had an afternoon tour of Monet's house and gardens. It was the perfect day! Sunny and warm.

I have always loved Monet and the Impressionism movement in art. It was such a treat to finally see the flowers, lilly pond, and country side that inspired him so much. If you ever get the chance. you MUST go see this place. It really is breathtaking.

The flowers themselves were incredible. Never mind that the surrounding area was equally as beautiful. It's no wonder that Monet felt the need to paint and capture it all.

Archways like this went down the middle and sides of the garden. There were certain paths we couldn't go down, but even still there was plenty to see!

It was unbelievable how blue the sky was that day. Perfect weather!

Friday our whole group got to go to Versailles for the day. We could not have asked for better weather!

Let me tell you, Jordan and I had the best ice cream in the world. I have never tasted vanilla with so much flavor in my life!

Sunday we went to Rick Owens and signed our contracts to work the shows and in the showroom. Natalie, Brittany, Ashley, Dr. Ellis, and I went to the American Church in Paris for church in the morning. It was nothing like Vintage 21 or Salem Chapel, but it was nice to be in a place of believers who all spoke English!

Phew! Sorry that post was so long. I will try to be better about keeping up with posts and such!
